Before GALE STUDIO, Rebecca Gale Noah spent years in wholesale and product development for some of the world's most storied luxury houses, including Richemont, Patek Philippe, Vhernier and David Yurman. When she became a mom, she went looking for everyday pieces that were beautifully made but built for real life: coffee runs, commutes and weekends away. She couldn't find them, so she designed them.

Canvas Bag & Personalization FAQ
How durable is the canvas?
We use 20 to 24 oz heavyweight cotton canvas, the same weight used in professional work bags and military duffels. It softens with use and gets better with age.
Can every bag be personalized?
Every bag sold on its own can be. Up to 3 characters are included, 4 to 6 characters add $25, and spaces are free. Strap embroidery on the Essential Tote and Upstate Duffle is up to 6 characters in block print for a flat $25. Bundles and pre-embroidered pieces can't be personalized.
How long does personalization take?
Personalized pieces are embroidered within 7 business days, then ship. In-stock, non-personalized and pre-embroidered pieces ship within 2 business days. During the holidays, allow a few extra days.
Can I return my bag?
Unused, non-personalized items can be returned within 30 days of delivery in their original packaging. Personalized items are final sale because they're made just for you. If anything arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us and we'll make it right.
How do I care for the canvas?
Spot clean only. Dampen a soft cloth with cool water and a little mild, unscented soap, blot the spot without scrubbing, and keep water off the leather. Let the bag air dry completely, away from direct heat. Never soak it or put it in the washing machine.
Which bag is right for me?
The Essential Tote is for everyday errands and work. The Harbor Tote is deeper and taller, for the days you need to carry more. The Upstate Duffle is for weekends away. The Commuter Tote is built for work and is available pre-embroidered.
